Budget means estimated cost of any activity based on certain assumptions. There are various kinds of budgets like departmental budgets, operational budgets etc prepared in a commercial organisations to monitor and control the cost of proposed activity.

A budget is a quantitative expression of a plan for a defind period of time . It may include planned sales volumes ,resource,quantities , costs and cash flow. Types of budget Operating budget Cash flow budget Financial budget Static budget
