Thanks

Well.... I experienced such situation before, At that time I've set with him and remembered him by all achievements which been done by him and great performance which applied at his era.

Then I told him you need some rest, and all things will be as you want and dream .

After a week he returned to us fresh and motivated more than before

Each one of us has a job to do - and we are answerable for doing our job well. If those below us loose focus, we guide them and help them re-focus. If those above us falter, we do the same with some sugar-coating and then let nature take it's own course.

If you are passionate enough towards your job, try to take your manager's position by your skills. If not, try to advise your manager to be a little more passionate, if you are friendly with him. Lastly, let him be what he is and he will be rewarded (negatively I guess) for his work.

Just take a breath....Just do your job or take some time off to decide if continue to work with your manager or not?

You should remain passionate and try to counsel your manager.

I'll meet my manager and discuss the areas that he is not happy and as a professional to see any area can be improved, changed the way it is happening or to justify and convince him why we need to do that in that way. Communication is vital to understand each other especially to read the strategic intent of the organisation or the manager's for successful executions.

It is sometime an opportunity to grow and provide your best to achieve next level but nothing to be cunning or waiting for such situations and sometimes it mess the work for the staff under such manager, so I may try to convince my manager to continue to focus on the project since it is not only him there are many others with him, may his one mistake ruin many persons efforts.

Life is too short to figure people’s passion or lack of it; as long as the manager is doing the job, it doesn’t matter if there is a passion or indifferent act associated with it.
