How do i correct an journal entry with wrong amount?

If you have passed with more amount ,u should pass entry with difference in amount to opposite account. 

or if u have passed with less amount , pass entry with shortage in amount , to same accounts.

Correction of Journal entry can only be done by a reversal journal. 

If the journal entry have been posted so we should reverse this entry and create new journal with correct amount
