What is the disadvantage of not having long term plan?

An old saying is 'No plan is equal to plan to fail'. In-fact business growth depends on clear mission & vision. Once there is clear mission or target, your activities, time investment, short term planning & decisions changed accordingly. On other hand long term plan requires deeper analysis of market, country economical growth, public demand etc. These analysis helps in improvement of short term plan as well.
