How do we know if the education given to the patient was completely understood?

Patients who ask questions and seek more information are usually the ones who finally understand the medical education given to them.

by requestioning him if he answers all the proper answers as were told means he has understood properly.. 

you will have to do a certain demonstrations to the patient and tell him to repeat the steps , step by step till he understand the procedures
