Link building is the best method to increase the back-links to your website. There are many ways to build links and most of the techniques are ‘black hat’ or 'unnatural' while some of them are ‘legitimate’, ‘white hat’ and ‘natural’. Actually building links and growing back-links by a steady is still counted as an incredibly important aspect of SEO.

When you start building back-links there is some important aspect you need to be taken care of:

2. 2.   Site is Indexed
3. 3.   Do-Follow
4. 4.   Site Authority

Guest posting: Post articles as “Guest” in highly reputed web blogs and add links on it.

Comments: The old and widely used method. Adding relevant comments and links on blogs. Need to meet a number of other criteria while selecting blogs for commenting.

Niche directories: Find niche based directories and add your business with an attractive description!

Companies’ listings: Local business listing in business directories like Yelp, Google Business etc.

Web2.0 sites: Find register and place information on these websites, It will give trust to promoted site, as well as to increase the number of links.

Adding videos: Add videos like reviews, learning guides or support videos and add it to video directories. Also give proper description including links!

Press releases: Send a well organised press release, and it will have a good chance to appear on the top sites. 

Infographics: Find appropriate location place using queries “infographic submition list” and “submit/add infographic”. 

Direct placing: Advertising on highly traffic websites!

Directory blog: Add a blog section to your website and add articles on regular basis on it.

Adding to PDF directories: Create a pdf file with the company information and services offered. Post on highly visited directories that offer PDF file adding and getting backlinks. 

Redirect.:It is necessary to implement redirection to the same page, but on the new domain. 

There are a lot of other methods of getting backlinks, above referred ones are commonly used!!!

For backlinks it's all about quality not quantity so you should earn links only from high quality website to avoid to be punished by search engines as spam.
