The Internet Protocol version 6 or IPv6 eliminates the need for Network Address Translation by offering a much larger address space that allows the network resources to have their own unique real IP address.
Without NAT for IPv6, end-to-end communications will be much easier to troubleshoot using public addresses for the source and destination systems.

not all networks around the world are IPv6 yet.
so to enable IPv6 - IPv4 interconnection , methods of translations are still needed one of them is called NAT-PT(old) and NAT64 (NAT-mapping between the IPv6 and the IPv4 address).
i disagree with Ehbib Yatem

Yes! definitely apart from the general understanding that NAT have have provided much relief to the IPv4 adress space.
I like it from the security reasons as it adds another layer of security to hide/ protect your internal networks that still using IPv4 adress space.

yes, still we need NAT in our network, because it will take some time to completely shift from ipv4 to ipv6,,, so in the current system, we have to communicate bothe ipv4 and ipv6..
so still we need NAT in our ipv4 network

NAT Method is still important & dominating over both IP suits either Ipv4 or Ipv6 until fully deployment of Ipv6.

yes we still need NAT because not the whole internet is running IPV6, also it is using now in translation between ipv4 and ipv6.

Even if the whole world is using IPv6 there's a possibility of running short of IPs so NAT still has a future.

Agree with Khalid Saqib

It can do wonders when it is combined with the virtual environment.
