How do you deal with this situation ?

A large scale business change had been announced to your department three months ago. It has become apparent that one team member Karim, is not coping well with the changes. Karim’s negative attitude is impacting your team and customers.

Please select one response from the following:

A. Tell Karim he needs to get on board with the situation because this is not going to change.

B. Ask Karim what he needs to be comfortable in the situation and pull out all the stops to ensure he is happy and more positive.

C. At the next1-2-1 meeting with Karim, discuss his concerns whilst outlining the reality of the situation and provide ongoing support.

D. At the next team meeting, ask everyone how they are feeling and how they have coped during this change in order to facilitate peer to peer support.
