Does having a hard copy of a book instead of a soft-copy with you at all times encourages you to read more often?

I have a soft-copy of most of my favorite books on Google books so they're available on my smartphone at all times, But I can't commit to finishing a book, it always seem that at some point I lose interest and get busy with ta new book or with life matters and just forget about it.
