Can a good manager be a key to the success of the company?

A manager is a person who manages the resources (most importantly human resources)of the company towards the company goals. A good manager would be able to reach a higher goal with the same resources . For this he/she has to inspire the team members to a collective goal. He /she has to motivate them with monetary and non monetary rewards.
