The Essentials of a Good Remuneration System?

(2) Simple to understand

(3) Within the reach of the salesman and

(4) One which provides a continuous incentive.

 

Every salesman should know exactly what is expected of him and must be given a definite objective. His instructions must be clear and reproduced in writing as salesmen are generally suspicious of complicated schemes.

The scheme must be such that the rewards are adequate and within the reach of the salesman. It must also provide a continuous incentive and to salesman’s interest must be sustained. For this purpose, the co miss allowed is calculated for short periods and the rewards are given as possible at the end of such periods.
