The Ribbon is consists of panels. Just below it you can find the File Tabs . Below this the Drawing Window is displayed and at the bottom of the Drawing Window you can find the Drawing Window Status Bar, and lastly at the very bottom of the application the Application Status Bar is shown.

you will use the Tool Palettes a lot . If it is hidden, you can switch it on by clicking CTRL+3.

you will use the Properties Palette very often, turn it on by clicking CTRL+1.

If any palette is in hidden mode, take the cursor to the title bar and with a right-click turn off the Auto Hide option. The other option is for doing it if you click on the Auto Hide icon below the Close button.

If any palette is in “floating” mode, right-click on the title bar of the palettes and check the drop-up menu if there is a check mark next to the „Allow Docking” menu item, as you can see on the next screenshot. If there is no checkmark, click on the menu item, and then grab the title bar by left-clicking to try to dock the palette on the left or right side of the screen.

VIEW CUBE, NAVIGATION BAR AND VIEWPORT CONTROLS

Sometimes during your work the visual style and the view of your drawing will be alternated. Three tools will be used. One of these can be found in the upper left corner of the drawing area, called Viewport Controls, and consists of three labels.

Click – (minus) to display options, changing the viewport configuration, or controlling the display of navigation tools.

Click TOP to choose between several standard and custom views.

Click 2D Wireframe to choose one of several visual styles. Most of the other visual styles are used for 3D visualization.

The second tool is the View Cube situated in the upper right corner of the drawing area. The View Cube is a 3D navigational tool and it becomes visible when the 3D graphics system is enabled. This allows you to switch between standard and isometric views. If it’s not shown use Ribbon menu View tab » Windows panel » User Interface » View Cube for it to be shown again.

The third tool is the Navigation Bar, situated under the View Cube. From here other navigation tools can be reached, like the Pan, the Zoom tools and the Orbit tools. If you don’t see it, enable it as described above for the View Cube.

When the Customize User Interface Editor is displayed using the Customize Commands option from the Tool Palettes window or the Customize option from the Quick Access toolbar or a toolbar, the customizations In pane is collapsed and the Command List pane is expanded.

Displays a tree structure of user interface elements that can be customized, such as workspaces, toolbars, menus, ribbon panels, partial CUIx files, and so on.
