Html is not like other language so it is not hard to learn any one can learn it is simple only... even the person who not having any knowledge about coding can learn
There are2 acpects of it, one is HTML5 semantics or markup which is fairly easy to understand and learn,2nd is HTML5 API's which are purly based on JavaScript.
First one is quit easy but would advice to start learning from XHTML1.0 or HTML4 and must know the difference from legacy code to know markup better.
To learn JavaScript it requires sometime and effort, though it's a separate topic al-together.
