Honouring, Protecting and safegaurding the rights of an Individual/person(natural or artificia) who invented a new thing or process or product by applying and going through different phases of testing and finally obtaining Patent over that Intellectual Property.

So to make any product, there may be different process can be adopted or applied. So there may be innovative uniqe process was invented in a way of making a product is also a intellectual property. so the innovator intellectual suppose to be enjoy the fruits of his innovation thereby the person support to be protected.

For obtaining Patent to any innovative product is Patent Product where as the process adhered or invented to make a product is unique and thereby that innovative process innovator had to be protected to enjoy the fruits by way of Process patent. Thats how they differ.

Law Relating to Intellectual Property Rights deals with Patents may be called as Patents Act.

The process patent gives less protection to the inventor. The same product can be achieved by different processes.

The process patent is granted for a particular manufacturing process but not for product and a product patent is specification for the product of the business.
