What are the most ideal programs to use in making an animation movie?

If you'd like to make 2d animation movie than use Flash and If you want to make 3d animation movie than use Maya.

Adobe studio is the best. We can find also pinnacle studio

Adobe after effects is the best program for this project.

If if you want to make 3d animation movie use maya,But if you want 2d animation movie use toonboom or Adobe Animate,

You can use also after effect that depends on your style.

3. premiere for post work and editing,

4. adobe soundbooth for voice over and sound effects

5. photoshopOptional: vRay, zBrush, other animation plugin like cat etc.

For me as an architectural animator the best software is Autodesk 3Ds max as it has a wide variety of library for exterior and interior animations using Vray render engine which is the fastest in rendering and the best for producing realistic scenes.

When it comes to character animations i would recommand Autodesk Maya.

And for post production i use Adobe After Effect.

Will adivice you to use Maya....but try using Muvizu its good too for beginners as it has tutorials and it has trial versions.

Maya is the best for animation movies but you need to get help from other softwares for good final result.

The most ideal software is the one that designer knows best. If he needs VFX adventure, he will find it elswhere and stick to it as needed.

In general, standars are combinations of3Ds MAX, MAYA, Softimage (sadly discounted but still around), Cinema4D, Motion builder...

Lets add various final GI rendering engines like VRay, Mental Ray, Arnold...

2D: Toon boom, Flash...

Post process tools: NUKE, After Effects.

There are many others but as I said, ideal is the one animatior / designer knows best.

And, we should NOT forget good old traditional animation techniques with pencils and paper. It still looks very cool too!
