Losing the temper may effect the way of thinking and managing the situation. So instead of making one win the discussion, temper may lead to the undesired conclusions.
This would happen if you loss your own temper and you are out of control:
1) you will loss your focus on what you are doing.
2) you will loss the respect of people around you especially if the reason you are angry is them. Once or twice is a little bit acceptable but to many will make them fight back but in their own way.
