Site to Site IPsec VPN. The access-list will consist of networks / hosts (IP Address) from both sides which will become part of interesting traffic. This will automaticlly ensure authentication of the hosts based on the ip address.

Username and passwords are usally used in remote access VPN for telecommuters.
