Distinction between accounting treatment of property, plant and equipment and investment property.

Property plant and euipment is treated as a fixed asset with the value being reduced every month with depreciation whereas investment property will be treated as an asset when there is consolidation and the gain or losses of the investment will be charged to the Income Statement.
