  1. Know what you are selling ( Product Knowledge)
  2. Know your customer
  3. Instead of being a typical salesperson one should rather sell an idea not a product.
  4. Always be prepared.
  5. Do not falsify.
  6. Work on your soft-skills.

Success thing does not exists in this entire world because it is a desire which never end, but yes a good and profit earner Salesperson should have below mentioned skills.

Skills to compare what is Profitable and what is Not

Skill to take on the spot balanced decision

Skill to initiate in team and suggest wisely when required

Skill to develop trustworthy and good Network of related job

Skill to manager personal and professional life

Skill to guide others

Should not be judegemental

Should have a flexible attitude in working environment

Should be able to listen comments and should have the basic quality to implement into right direction

And most importantly "Should be down-to-earth.

Rest academic and technical skills are also counted but if the above mentioned basic skills are not met properly then futhre things can become difficult to manage and communicate.
