Do you think using the 'Lean Canvas' is a good starting point to make your business plan?

A business plan is a written description of your business's future, a document that tells what you plan to do and how you plan to do it. If you jot down a paragraph on the back of an envelope describing your business strategy, you've written a plan, or at least the germ of a plan

Yes , because  It focuses on problems, solutions, key metrics and competitive advantages

Lean Canvas is an adaptation of Business Model Canvas by Alexander Osterwalder which Ash Maurya created in the Lean Startup spirit (Fast, Concise and Effective startup). Lean Canvas promises an actionable and entrepreneur-focused business plan

Lean Canvas only cover one part of a business plan which is the business model part. There are other aspects of a business plan not covered by the Lean Canvas model, like the financial aspect, the technical viability aspect, the management team viability aspect  and the market aspect.

Lean Canvas has been designed for entrepreneurs (i.e. not consultancy firms, customers, advisors, or investors) and the main goal is to create a business plan. In my opinion the most important thing is to document the main business model assumptions (and learning) in an easy format (that everyone can share and discuss with other people in order to understand/solve the problems).

Not so, it is just one part only and not much familiar in making business plans. But could be usable as per the thoughts of Alexander Osterwalder . 

Yes, I do think so. But anyway, I think it should be used with other optimized supports analysis documents (Like BSC, for example)
