Can you compare between distance based and time based maintenance?

distance based maintenance depends on the mileage -distance- covered by a plant unit regardless of the rate of traveling. time based maintenance is fixed at a given running/operations hours and has no relation to the movement of the plant unit

1-distance based maintenance used for all equipment and machines operating with along distance like transportation field 

2-time based maintenance used for equipment and machine which working as stationary or make short distance like mix and crusher plants and all equipment worked with it
