"incentivise"is the only word in my view to boost any product between sales and marketing personel.

The word to catch their serious attention is CONTINUITY.

Sales department should always remember that their existence is the continuity of the marketing departments job. If sales will not continue to do a good job, the effort of the marketing department is wasted.

In the same fashion that the job of sales department is wasted if customer after sales service is bad.
