How can I find an online teacher to practice english through skype? Is that an effective way for improving my speaking skills?

While learning online via Skype is one of the ways of learning English, there are other, more economical  ways of improving your spoken English.  It really depends on what you're comfortable with and the pace at which you learn best.

Apart from an online course/tutor, listening to and speaking English (without being too concerned with technical errors) will enhance your confidence in the language.  

*Using audio books and audio pronunciation lessons can be of great help and this is not restrictive for you to have to be in front of a laptop nor scheduling according to someone else's availability.  

*Listening to the news in English will assist in your pronunciation, sentence structure and vocabulary.  

*Create your own dictionary of new words that you come across and jot down the meaning for future reference. Attempt to use them in sentences.

*Speaking on the phone/texting to english speaking friends can also ease you into and build your confidence  gradually with  conversational skills.

*Buying yourself a good textbook and using a legitimate online dictionary are also some tools that can assist.

If you have an Android or iPhone, you can use apps like "Memrise" in which you can learn various types of languages at your convenience. I'm currently Learning Spanish Language with this App.

It's not hard to find online English language tutor as one can google it and select a suitable one by checking pay rates. 

However, there are many more effective and easy options to learn English; tv channels and programs, books, newspapers, CDs and online websites. These are more effective to learn at your own pace, without time restriction and economical.

i'm not sure how you find an online teacher , but yes this an effective way to improve your'e skills to just speak with any body it helped me so much and i do advice you to do so

Yet, I haven't used it or advised my students to use it. Therefore, I don't know how to get it.
