What is the Next Step if your supplier will fail to deliver the Goods/ Equipment on committed time?

As a first thing, I will have discussion to understand the cause of failure and look into the options to arrange from other source to avoid any interruption to services.  I will also make the supplier aware about the implications of this failure to their organization as stated in the purchase order (Liquidity Damages, Supplier performance rating, etc).

As a corrective action, I will also ask my expediting team to tighten the follow up process to avoid any such last minute surprises for future order.

 

 

Contact vendor and request eta to determine if we can work something out and search for other resources in case it does not work out.
