In which scenarios we see Company having sizable 'Debt' on one hand and sizable 'Cash and cash equivalents' also existing on the balance sheet?

There can be many situations where sizable debt on the credit side of the B/S can co exist with sizable cash & cash equivalents. To start with, the debt can be a long term debt and the cash & cash equivalents might be short term.
