Where would you use cross and straight cable?

straight cable used in computer to switch and hub port

Coonect to router LAN port switch & Hub uplink port

connect to cable to DSL LAN port

Cross cable used in connect two computer directly  

Connect Router LAN port to a switch/hub normal port.

Straigh through cables used when like non-like devices such as computer and switch,computer and hub, router and switch,router and hub

Cross cable used when Like devices are connecting  such as Computer and router, switch and hub,etc.
