What is vendor due diligence?

A vendor due diligence review provides dependable information that a potential vendor is financially sound, ethically strong & has an organized corporate structure. The review is targeted to the potential risk the vendor may present to the organization.

 Vendor due diligence reviews should be performed by an independent body who responsible for having a non-biased view of vendor. The concerned business unit should have the final sign-off on the “due diligence review” and works with the “Independent body” to resolve any outstanding issues.
