How Harmonics produced by Switching Of Thyristor for different Process requirement are affecting Power System CPP/ IPP &/ GRID ?

A periodic signal is decomposed between :

-mean value and first harmonic

-all other hamonics

However, the active (mean) power is produced only by mean value and first hamronic.

Therefore, other hamonics are pollution through the electrical network impossible to convert into usefull power.

This is why important hamronics reduce mean power and then power factor.
