What are the key features of writing an organized essay ?

To write an organized essay this is what you do:

First, decide on what you want your thesis to be (ie Why are friends Important in highschool?).

Then think of three reasons (ie It's nice to have a friend to share in my daily life experiences, some one who understands what I'm going through with my parents, some one who will keep me away from peer pressure to make the wrong choices)

Next, talk about the topic in your introduction (friendship in general), end the intro with the thesis 'Why are friends important in highschool' and give the three reasons.

Divide the paper into three parts one for each topic and start with an intro, three examples, conclusion to the first part. and then do the second part, start with an intro, couple of examples to highlight reason, and conclude.  Then do the third part.

Finally, restate briefly your three reasons that it is important to have friends in highschool in the conclusion.  Show that the three reasons that you have chosen are valid proof that it is important to have friends in highschool (You will be giving a valid answer to your thesis).
