As a manager, do you take risks or do you prefer to play it safe?

Life without risk is no life. Playing it safe doesn't mean not taking risks but considering the risks and managing them before continuing the road

Minimize the risk as much as possible and enhance the level of playing scientifically and logically to ensure confidence  which are unknowingly termed as "SAFE". 

I think calculated risk is required to take otherwise things will not move forward. Thanks.

If you want to be successful then you have to take risks but up to some extent. Logical forecasting should be done before taking risky decisions.

As a manager play it safe....as a strategist in a decision making role...such as managing director or director...you can take risks

Every Opportunity is basically a calculated risk. So, yes, to avail the opportunities one has to take calculated risks. Furthermore a project is a project because at anytime there can arise a situation which a project manager has handled before even when he has managed projects of similar nature before. He might find himself at a dead end sometimes.... So what he has to do.... Be brave and take a calculated risk.
