Medicienes have many goals

1/ cure disease : remove the current disease eg killing the microbe or removing inflammation

2/ maintain controlled state for chronic disease to prevent complications eg hypertension or diabetes melites

3/ pain killer eg osteoarthritis or for hopless cases
