How is convergence in media shaping the culture of people ?

In our world we are constantly colliding  and merging, due to technology, globalization, trading and travel we experience the culture of others and because of their constant exposure they all converge together. We find ourselves creating a new culture a global network that most anyone can associate themselves with and connect to on a certain level. We are so connected so many different parts of the world and sometimes we don't even realise it. We watch movies and TV shows from other cultures, read the news from other parts of the world, we buy merchandise and products from all over the world and all this from our own country. We have become a new nation of people, we have evolved.
