Why are all service based companies considering making apps?

To provide services at any time , if customer is facilitated immediately then surely he/she would be fully satisfied with the company's services. So sustaining in too much Competitive market, it is compulsory to provide services satisfactory at reasonable time. So that's why  i think that all service based companies are focusing on making apps.
