How technology can affect our houses in the near future?

a lot of technologies seem to be controlling most of our life now  , in the near future there will be full control , in houses ( AC's , TV's , Light and other devices) it will be easier for many people to do things without even moving, there are many thoughts about maybe someday we will have "robotic maids " to do all the things we need without effort.
