What is your view on PBL vs. traditional Lecture approach to teaching high schoolers?

Project based learning is very practical and develops the skills and understanding of the students, as it involves much research and analysis on the part of the student whiles the traditional lecture approach is more of intuitive just brain feeding your students without any research work, so it facilitates understanding though but doesn't develop the skills of the student.
