How to treat the depreciation of idle asset ?

A company's equipment (Cranes) that should depreciated over the next five years (straight-line method.). Equipment were used for one year project contract, depreciation expense was allocated to during project time, after project completion all equipment stored in the Warehouse waiting for next opportunity/project to use them again.. Should we continue depreciating idle equipment while they are laying in the Warehouse for long time?
