How can a civil engineer make career in planning manager?

First a civil engineer needs to decide in which area of civil engineering he wants to peruse his career. Once decided then he need to work in construction area of his specialized field and get himself familiarize with different activities involved in construction process i.e. time, cost and resource involved in different construction activities. This is a suggestion which i usually give to graduate civil engineers. 

first you should have enough experiences in different fields of the civil work.

second you should study the management courses.

third you should learn the management computer programs.
