Depends on someone's personal preference. People who want to accept new challenges and have a passion to learn and gain more knowledge changing job for them would be helpful .If there is an opportunity for growth then it’s a not good idea to switch the company.

I will defiantly choose to change my  work every5 years or so. Based on  my experience you gain more  experience and wide exposure every time you change your environment, your company, or even the business sector. Moreover, you learn flexibility and how to handle change.

I will prefer changing jobs after every5 years to gain more experience and share my experience to benefit new organisations for a better tomorrow. It will give way to new ideas and better  chances for continuous improvement both for me as well as organisations I work for. Will also add more challenge, adventure, commitment and energies to work and produce better results.

Changing  job every5 years will show that you  are not loyal  to the Organization and you are unstable , Having said that staying in the company for years with no growth will also reflect that you are poor performer and you cannot get a job anywhere .

So We should not change job every5 years and at the same time We should not stay for  years in same job or organization without growth
