What is subsea engineering?

Structures and pipes which are designed and installed on Sea Bed for extracting Oil and Gas and transfereing it to FPSO or Onshore plant for further processing.

What this mean is that whatever is between the sea water level and subsurface for example, pipelines,risers,manifolds, trees, umbilical, power cables, optical fibers, platforms, moorings e.t.c all fall under subsea engineering.
