As a Safety Supervisor What is your current priorities for Health, Safety, )Environment (HSE ?

As a Safety supervisor, the primary role is to ensure the implementation of active monitoring system and report if non-compliant is evident. Assist the HSE and Construction Management in the process of reactive monitoring and follow ups.

As a HSE Supervisor the primary role is to ensure the compliance of the workers in the set HSE policies and systems thru active monitoring, training, inspection and close out of raised NCR/observations. 

Pro Active Approach,

Develop positive safety culture,

Training,

Collective Control measures,

Develop Safety Procedure (Safe System of work),

PTW (Permit to work),

Risk Assessment including COSHH Assessment,

Control of hazards through inspections i.e. work at height, confined space, electrical works, fire prevention, heavy equipment, barricade, hand tools, ladders, scaffolding, hot work activities etc .

To implement the best safety system at the workplace and monitoring the effectiveness of the safety system on regular basis. prepare the documents according to Site HSE plan.

My priority would be the safety & wellbeing of all within my area of responcibility to include humans, animals, properties, assets and the overall invironemnt. How to do it, has alrady been coverd by other colleaques.

1. Safe work place for the worker, visiters, contractors and stakeholders.

2. Safe work procedures less damage or no damage to the environment.

3. less reliability on PPEs, instead educating the workers about potential hazards and awareness about work procedures.
