ARPU = Average Revenue Per User/unit where user refers to any subscriber/end-user of the services offered by an operator/service provider. This metric is calculated by dividing the total revenue by the number of active subscribers usually per month. The metric reflects whether the services offered are generating enough revenue to ensure business sustainability and growth. If not, the service provider need to offer new value-added services to their subscribers and to market these new services in a way that attracts subscribers to use the service and pay per usage and hence increase the ARPU to a healthy level.
