What is better ; automation or man power?

Good evening. In my opinion, none of them alone. Machines (automation) will helps repeated tasks to complete efficiently whereas innovation is lacking. In regards, man power during the repeated tasks risk of error can be increased as lethargic feeling will increase, but innovation can be expected. There should be proper mix to improve any business drastically.
