D.c and we can connect it with grid by using inverter sync. with grid
There are many stages. Basically the PV output is unregulated DC voltage and the grid is an AC voltage. So these following stages must be done to convert the PV output to AC output that is compatible with the grid:
1. DC/DC converter with MPPT algorithm.
- So PV output is regulated and we are operating at the optimum conditions
2. The DC/DC converter is connected with an Inverter.
- Convert the DC voltage to AC.
3. Controllers needed for inverter synchronisation with the utility grid.
- Consists of 3 controllers Phase Looked Loop for angle estimation, Current control, and voltage control
PV panels output is DC voltage we can connect it directly with DC loads if we have but the most common is to convert DC to AC voltage use a device called inverter after that it will be easy to connect with grid
Type DC and must be connected in strings with others on a Solar Inverter.
The output from solar PV modules is DC voltage and current which is converted to AC voltage and current by the use of Grid-interactive Inverter and is then fed to the grid. The inverter is responsible to sync both the sources and feed the grid with a uniform waveform that is in phase with utility grid.
The output form solar panels is a DC voltage which is usually specified on the data sheet of the PV panel. Generally the PV panels are connected in series (to form a string) and each panel's DC voltage is added to get a string voltage. Depending on the system these string voltages can be quite high and caution must be used when working with these strings.
The DC string voltage is converted to AC voltage with the use of an inverter, inverters generally use PWM to convert the DC voltage to an AC voltage. The inverter automatically synchronizes the produced AC power with the grid.
Solar PV generates DC power which need to be connected to Grid via a Inverter with anti-islanding features.
Now-a-days few PV manufacture develop PV module with in-build Inverter which provides AC as output.
The output voltage of Solar Panel is DC (Direct Current). To tie up it with grid (internal or external), we need to connect a "Grid Tie Inverter" with the system which will convert the DC into AC as well as synchronize it with Grid.
The PV Modules Output will be unregulated DC. you combine the no of modules in series & parrallel connections as per the selected Grid Tied Inverter requirement. keep the level in the MPPT range of the inverters. Then the inverter will give the synchronized AC volatge as per the GRID line conected to it. - This is for the Grdi tied System.
If your system is with battery bank, you need to have the batteries for the connection to the Grid as the Hybrid inverers do not work directly on the solar Voltages. - Just for your reference.
Note that I never thought about that issue in my solar panels, they are connected to Battery chargers where I charge my emergency batteries to store the electricity that they begin to produce and send the rest to my home, but I never noticed those things, thank you, I will ask you to my technician how can I see that issue about the electricity output of my panels.
We get D.C. output from a solar panel and can be connected directly to any grid through a grid tied inverter.
