Before starting filming you will have to think about the story. You want to tell your story in the most compelling way. In order to do so you will have to already know answers of some of the key questions. This will give you a huge amount of confidence and help you to make the right decisions about what element to include.

1.WHAT IS THE STORY?

What kind of a story is it?

What is the issue and the content that this story is going to deal with?

-You should be able to summarise this into one sentence.

2.WHOSE STORY IS IT?

What's gonna happen?

Will they win/lose?

Will they find the guy of their dreams?

-Give your audience a sense of what the big story question is.

It's very much about giving them a question that gives them a sense of waiting to hear how it's all going to be resolved at the end of your story

3.WHAT'S THE BIG STORY QUESTION?

What is the question that you're going to pose at the beginning of the story? What will happen to those characters?

Will they achieve what they're trying to do?

Will they discover what it is they're looking for?

4.WHATS IN IT FOR THE AUDIENCE?

This question in our audience's minds is a quite selfish one. They will think:

How will this story relate and connect to me and my life?

-Your task is to think about what might be the big theme or themes associated with the story I'm going to tell, what are those big universal themes that connect us all as human beings

A film always has a central theme. Work on it to create a stunning begenning and a touching ending.
