What is a T-account?

A T-Shape Account is a graphic representation of a general ledger account. It shows Debit entries on left side of the T and credits entries on right side of the T.

T-Account is basically a general ledger account. which shows Dr and Cr entries.

Dr enter on left side ad Cr entries on right side.  

Debit is always left and credit - is right....

T account is any general ledger account that shows debit and credit balance of all transaction and also when we close it debit or credit balance of that account 

A T-account is a one of the two popular types of accounts i.e. running balance account & T-Account

An account is a summary of all increases & decreases in a particular asset, liability, owner's equity, revenue or expense (such as cash). It starts with the opening balance, shows all increases & decreases & ends up with a closing balance

T account was used in manual accounting to see the effect of debits and credits and to check the transaction effects. It can be said that it is a general ledger account.

transactions of a   particular  a/c  or party.  A line

equal halfs. on the left it is Debit and on the right

T account is a ledger that shows the debit & credit side of each accounts

The presentation of GL in T shape that's why called T account. Above this T will be GL name Left side is for Debit Entry and Right side for Credit Entry.
