What is free trade agreement?

Free trade Agreement is a bi-lateral  or multi-lateral agreement entered into between two or more countries to facilitate trade by way of removing irritants, like taxes, approvals, quotas.  Through FTA, signatories agree to remove those obstacles to international trade which are generally imposed by countries to protect local industry from competition from other other countries.
