Hello , I am not sure I have the right answer but usually big corporations have different seats of different solutions, for example, CATIA for design and development or PLM, others as suppliers for CAM, others for illustrations and many more.
I think they have to do this in order to keep up to date with technology and enhancement, therefore,I won't be surprised to learn they have their own customized systems in collaboration with big names like SIEMENS ... This is how they set standards in undustry.
On the other hand, remember that Dassault systeme developed CATIA as a solution for Boeing and the French military jet fighter industry in the70's. This is how CAD was born and came out of research buildings of MIT!
