The computer system doesn't work by itself. It needs primary source of data to consume and perform a number of other jobs for you. For example it a typical scenario, you report only daily sales in any point of Sales location. The computer prepares number of reports, for example, Sales trend for the day, for the week, top sales items etc etc. so data entry is the blood stream for any system.
