Which is in more demand for broadcast journalists: Avid or Premiere?

I've been doing an MA in broadcast journalist for the past year and was taught how to edit on Avid because most broadcasters use it. Now that I'm almost done, I've been told that the industry is slowly switching to Premiere. Which do you recommend?
