How much does reading help writing or writing help reading?

In the case of listening and speaking, the importance of listening is as equal to speaking the same applies to reading and writing.

Tremendous help, indeed! By reading you get ideas on writing style, use of words, discover new words, etc. Reading can also help improve your grammar and sentence construction.

Reading is like listening and writing is like talking. While reading (read listening) helps s absorb others' views and conversations, writing (read talking) is a process that can't exist outside of listening. So, both reading and writing are inextricably and closely linked as listening and talking.
